ICM Brings Bancone Kensington to Life
After the huge success of our fit-out at Borough Market, ICM was thrilled to be invited back by Bancone to work on their latest venture — this time in the heart of Kensington. Set on the bustling Kensington High Street, the site was a blank concrete shell when we arrived, offering endless potential but demanding a complete, top-to-bottom transformation. This was more than just a fit-out; it was about crafting a space that would reflect Bancone’s renowned style and elevate their dining experience to a whole new level.
The scope of this project was ambitious and exciting. We began by installing temporary electrical and water services just to kick things off, followed by constructing a brand-new mezzanine to house the back-of-house operations, offices, and WC facilities. From below ground to ceiling height, we tackled everything — including complex groundworks like screeding and laying drainage runs, as well as a full electrical package covering lighting, fire alarms, music systems, and CCTV. Every element, from the bespoke staircase to the handcrafted booth seating, wall paneling, and tables, was designed to bring Bancone’s signature warmth and charm to life.
