From empty floor to full carvery in eight weeks.
British Garden Centre in Paddock Wood is one of more than 70 centres operated by the brand across the UK, and this project formed part of their continued investment in improving the customer experience. ICM were appointed as Main Contractor to deliver a brand-new 600m² carvery restaurant within the existing garden centre. From the outset, the aim was to create a warm, welcoming dining space that would sit comfortably alongside the retail environment while meeting the operational demands of a busy food offering.
The scope of works was extensive and required close coordination across multiple trades. Internally, this included the installation of new floors, walls and ceilings, alongside high-quality bespoke joinery manufactured in-house by ICM. A full electrical installation was carried out, split between centre power and generator supply, along with new plumbing and gas services to support the kitchen. In addition, a new HVAC system was installed throughout the restaurant, with final decorations and feature wallpaper added to selected areas to complete the look and feel of the space.
